Stack & Whack -- Slice and Dice -- this is a traditional quilt.  If you have never done one, this is your chance.  It is amazing how fabric changes when cut up like a kaleidoscope.  Pick any fabric you like and put it to the mirror test.  If you are not sure what we are talking about, ask one of us a the shop to show you.  WARNING -- this can become addictive.

Embroidered Patchwork Butterflies with Linda Martin

  
    
 

Linda Martin (visiting teacher) designs, creates and professionally digitizes machine embroidery designs.  Who does not love butterflies?  They flutter by with their beautifully colored wings.  They are a favorite of Linda's, so she will stitch them whenever she can and now she will teach them in Cottonwood.  This is an embroidery machine appliqué - crazy patchwork butterfly.  Linda's Old McDonald's Farm Tote and Play is featured in the 2010 Jan/Feb issue of Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine. she will be displaying a trunk show with more of her embroidery projects. A small quilt, approximately 16" x 20" introduced to a variety of de-sign concepts and construction techniques include fusing, fabric collage, and basic embellishment techniques.  If the hat fits -- the witch that is. This pattern is from the Buggy Barn Frightfully Crazy book. A wonderful fall quilt with a witch in 8 blocks that have dangly legs and large hats. Come in and see this quilt on display by June 17. Unite with other witch want-a-bees and sew up a wickedly wacky witch wall hanging. The fun starts here.
